3. Mink velvet generally cannot be ironed, especially with steam, because the high temperature steam will shrink the mink velvet and curl it. It can cause irreparable damage to the fur, such as shrinking and stiffening, or curling at the tips of the fur. Moreover, the non-professional ironing the fur will not do much.
